Se plante\u00f3 que el arte podr\u00eda considerarse siempre emergente hasta el momento en que es institucionalizado, y se se\u00f1al\u00f3 como punto cr\u00edtico la tendencia a asociar lo \u201cemergente\u201d con la edad \u2014generalmente artistas menores de 35 a\u00f1os\u2014, lo cual limita la comprensi\u00f3n de procesos creativos m\u00e1s amplios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como parte del an\u00e1lisis, se presentaron artistas guatemaltecos nacidos en los a\u00f1os 90, destacando su enfoque multidisciplinario y una sensibilidad particular en sus propuestas. Entre ellos, se discuti\u00f3 especialmente la obra de Juan Jos\u00e9 Gu\u00e9n por su reinterpretaci\u00f3n subversiva de la simbolog\u00eda sacra.
